eMagin Exhibits OLED Solutions at CEATAC

CEO presents OLED advantages for consumer applications

Tokyo, October 5, 2004 – eMagin Corporation (AMEX: EMA), the leader in active matrix OLEDon- silicon displays, is demonstrating its displays in 3D stereovision at CEATAC at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center in the city of Chiba. Visitors to eMagin's booth #8D20 can experience 3D virtual images in some of today's most popular computer games.

In addition, Gary Jones, eMagin's president and chief executive officer, will give a presentation about the state of OLED technology and product development, as well as the market potential for OLED microdisplay-based products in the near-to-eye sector for consumer applications. The presentation will be given October 7 at 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the International Exhibition Hall 7, Makuhari Messe Center.

eMagin has developed and patented on-display processing to deliver seamless 3D virtual images in motion-tracking head-mounted displays. Available in resolutions up to 852 x 600 (SVGA+), eMagin's displays deliver the brilliant color and unsurpassed contrast characteristic of OLED displays in a compact, low-power design. The company's displays have recently been incorporated into more than 30 products for commercial, industrial, medical, and defense applications, including Total Fire Group's Fire Warrior (tm) thermal imager which will be demonstrated at the show.

Analysts predict that the OLED market will grow into a several billion dollar industry over the next five years. Through its technology innovation, eMagin is extending the potential markets for OLED into microdisplays. The company has developed its active matrix OLED microdisplays on silicon chips, taking advantage of the processing capability to buffer video information at each pixel for a more responsive virtual imaging experience.

eMagin's OLED-on-silicon displays deliver high-resolution full color or monochrome imagery for near-eye applications. Because OLED materials emit light, eMagin displays are thinner and consume less power than conventional microdisplay technologies. In addition, eMagin displays offer higher contrast and a wider dispersion of light, making them more comfortable and useful for near-eye applications than competing technologies. CEATEC Japan 2004 is one of the largest exhibitions in Asia, featuring cutting-edge technologies displayed by over 700 domestic and overseas companies and groups. The exhibit continues through October 9, 2004.
